Xiaomi Mi 9 becomes the most powerful smartphone in the world, beating iPhone XS Max. Xiaomi is preparing for the international launch of Xiaomi Mi 9 on February 24 at the MWC 2019.
Xiaomi Mi 9 is a new flagship smartphone from the company, which is also the first smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
Wang Xiang, senior vice president, shared his new information on the Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone. According to the latest report, Xiaomi Mi 9 scored a whopping 387,851 points on AnTuTu, making it the fastest smartphone in the world. Wang Xiang also confirms that Xiaomi Mi 9 runs on the new flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset from Qualcomm.
In fact, Xiaomi Mi 9 scored almost 30,000 points more than the Apple iPhone XS Max, which runs on an Apple A12 Bionic chipset. The latter today has the most powerful mobile processor, competing in performance with processors on the MacBook.
It is expected that Xiaomi Mi 9 will be equipped with a 6.4-inch OLED-screen with a resolution of FHD +, protected by a curved 2.5D tempered glass. The smartphone will run on the aforementioned Snapdragon 855 chipset with at least 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The display Xiaomi Mi 9 will be protected by glass Corning Gorilla Glass 6 with a built-in fingerprint scanner.
In total, the smartphone has four cameras: three cameras on the back and one selfie-camera in front. The main camera of the smartphone will most likely be equipped with a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a depth sensor. The smartphone will have a premium all-glass design with minimal frames on all four sides of the smartphone.
The smartphone will most likely come with a 3500 mAh battery with support for fast charging via the USB Type-C port, as well as wireless charging. The presentation of the smartphone will take place on February 20 – on the same day as the Samsung Unpacked event, where the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be presented.
Although the international launch of Xiaomi Mi 9 is confirmed, so far there is no information about the launch dates for Xiaomi Mi 9 in Russia and the CIS countries. Also at the moment, there is no accurate data on the price of a smartphone.
It also became known that the company together with Xiaomi Mi 9 is going to present its first power bank with a wireless charging capacity of 10,000 mAh.
