OnePlus 7 Pro Benchmarks Leak: Fastest Android Smartphone Ever?

There are many different test applications that measure the various capabilities of a smartphone from processor to browser.

One of the most popular applications for testing is Geekbench, which measures the performance of the CPU of a smartphone. The fastest smartphone based on Geekbench tests is currently the Apple iPhone XS Max, which scored 11,416 points on a multi-core test.

This smartphone runs on the A12 Bionic SoC platform, developed by Apple and manufactured by TSMC. Just yesterday, a device called OnePlus GM1917 was tested, which is supposedly the OnePlus 7 Pro. The device under test has 12 GB of RAM.

According to the results of tests OnePlus 7 Pro, we can conclude that the smartphone is the fastest Android device. The smartphone on the mobile platform Snapdragon 855 scored on multi-core tests 11,012 points.

The result exceeds the estimates obtained by both the Samsung Galaxy S10 + (using the same Snapdragon 855 chipset) and the Huawei P30 Pro (running on its own Kirin 980 chipset), two smartphones that many consider being leaders of the Android world. These smartphones achieved 10099 and 9745 points in multi-core tests, respectively.

OnePlus 7 Pro is the first OnePlus smartphone equipped with a curved QHD + display (1440p). The actual screen resolution is 1440 x 3120, which gives a narrow aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. With a refresh rate of 90 Hz (the display frequency of most smartphones is 60 Hz), OnePlus 7 Pro promises to provide users with a smoother video view. A triple camera with a main 48-megapixel sensor, an additional 8-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom and an ultra-wide 16-megapixel sensor will be installed on the back of the device. It is noteworthy that the OnePlus 7 Pro does not have a ToF-sensor, which is currently in almost all high-end smartphones.

The ToF sensor shows how long it takes infrared light to reflect from the object and return to the smartphone. This data is used to compile a three-dimensional map of space and objects, more accurate depth measurements, and for AR applications.

At the top of the smartphone has a 16-megapixel retractable selfie camera that allows you to remove the cutout from the screen. The smartphone runs on a 4000 mAh battery that will quickly charge at 30 watts.

As can be seen from the Geekbench test results, the OnePlus 7 Pro is pre-installed with a version of OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie. Buyers will be able to purchase a smartphone in blue, gray and brown.

It is reported that a 4G version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory will cost $ 699. A model with 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of internal memory will cost $ 749, and the most powerful model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory will cost $ 819. The OnePlus 7 Pro version that supports 5G will go to many countries, but the exact data on geography and prices are not yet known.

Both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be presented on May 14th. The actual release date may be May 22.
