Microsoft promises fix for Windows 10 v1903 Upgrade block

In an assist document, Microsoft documented an integral problem in units with Intel Rapid Storage Driver variations between 15.1.0.1002 and 15.5.2.1053. The difficulty is limited to precise Intel drivers and different units with RST. As a result, installation is being blocked on variations of Intel with Rapid Storage Technology (RST).

Microsoft recently updated the support document, in which the company said that a fix for the Windows 10 Update block issue is underway and that they will issues it by the end of this month. “We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late August,” the support document reads.

But for the time being, users are suggested to install the latest version of the Intel RST drivers. Versions 15.5.2.1054 or later are compatible, so devices with these drivers installed can install the Windows 10 May 2019 Update.

Some users also reported that they are still getting an error message while trying to install the May 2019 Update even after updating the Intel RST driver to the latest version.
