Logitech MX Master 2s specifications
When it comes to packaging, the Logitech MX Master 2s mouse comes to us in a standard Logitech box. Inside there is the mouse itself, the receiver (dongle) Unifying, a bunch of waste paper and a micro USB cable that is used for charging. It would be nice if the kit included a small travel case, but, alas, it is not here.
Design and appearance
As for the design, it is worth talking a little about the design. MX Master 2s is clearly asymmetric peripherals, and it’s perfectly clear that Logitech wanted the user to conveniently hold the device in his hand. The first moments, especially if you switch from a small mouse, may be unusual, but after a few hours, the model becomes very comfortable.
The version of Graphite we tested is striking in its style – there is also a dark blue and light gray version of the case color. Aesthetic, endearing colors, three-dimensional triangles delight the eye and increase grip. It is worth noting that on the side upper part intended for the thumb, we see three diodes that indicate the state of charge of the battery.
At the bottom of the mouse, there is a port used for charging, at the same time the device does not slide the entire surface on the table, but only by separate external elements. Given the size of the Logitech MX Master 2s, this is a good solution.
When it comes to quality, Logitech shows a high class, we have absolutely nothing to complain about. However, it is worth mentioning that the mouse seems light enough for its size. This, combined with a good hand profile, makes MX Master 2s still a very convenient solution after several weeks of use.
Logitech MX Master 2s Software
As for software, we have the familiar Logitech Options software. In fact, we have to draw your attention to two things that have changed here.
Now the scrolling mode can be changed using any, of course, predefined button – you will clearly feel that the mechanical movement of the wheel is caused by electronics and our physical input is not taken into account here. The second innovation we would like to mention is Smart Shift, but more on that later.
It should be noted that the possibilities offered by Logitech Options are expanding due to the fact that MX Master 2s is equipped with a number of buttons. In addition, the well-known LPM, MPM, and PPM, the button located under the wheel, an additional slider and two more keys – all of them are available for one finger.
the ability to adjust motion (pointer speed, scroll wheel direction, wheel sensitivity, etc.), users can set each of the seven buttons and check the battery charge. Given the number of configurations offered by this software, as well as the ability to determine the commands yourself, we will say that everyone will be able to personalize this mouse for themselves.
Conclusion: Flow puts the MX Master 2S above the rest
Put simply, Logitech’s MX Master 2S is a superb general-purpose mouse, especially for right-handers. The mouse combines productivity and ergonomics, all blended into a genuinely elegant aesthetic. The only unfortunate note is the lack of concessions to lefties. A left-handed version could well be the perfect mouse for a left-handed PC user. This omission knocks our score down a half-star.
Logitech Flow, though, elevates the MX Master 2S into rarefied territory. By acknowledging the fact that a user may own more than one PC and using that as a design focus, Flow brings those PCs together in a way few other peripherals have. Yes, Logitech’s flagship mouse may cost more than the competition. Nevertheless, we wholeheartedly recommend Logitech’s MX Master 2S mouse as the best in its class. You can say it’s best For Gaming Laptops.
