According to the popular Ice Universe leakage amateur (@UniverseIce), the OnePlus 7 Pro is extremely popular in China, where consumers have placed pre-orders for more than one million units of the smartphone. Pre-orders were placed on the OnePlus website and on the Chinese site JD.com, the only places where the Chinese can pre-order a smartphone. According to MyDrivers, over 820,000 devices were ordered on JD.com, and over 220,000 devices were pre-ordered on the OnePlus official website. Based on these figures, the total number of OnePlus 7 smartphones ordered in the country was almost 1.05 million.
The OnePlus 7 Pro took only five days to generate 1.05 million pre-orders. Interestingly, the tweet from Ice Universe indicates that some consumers in China are planning to sell their Samsung Galaxy S10 series of smartphones and let the proceeds to buy OnePlus 7 Pro. The tweet also indicates that the smartphone is now in standby mode since the number of reserved devices exceeded the number of devices available in the country at the time of launch.
OnePlus 7 Pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120. This is not only the first display with a resolution of 1440p on your OnePlus smartphone but also the first with a refresh rate of 90 Hz (for smooth graphics). For reference, most smartphones have a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform with three different memory and storage configurations: 6 GB / 128 GB, 8 GB / 256 GB, or 12 GB / 256 GB.
The triple rear camera includes a 48-megapixel main camera with f / 1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 16-megapixel camera with an ultra wide angle lens. The selfie camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels and extends from the top of the smartphone (it is automatically removed when it feels that the smartphone is falling). The kit includes an optical fingerprint scanner and a 4000 mAh battery. The OnePlus 7 Pro uses the same 30-watt Warp Charger offered with the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. The smartphone runs on OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie (HydrogenOS in China).
OnePlus 7 Pro – the first smartphone with universal flash memory (UFS) 3.0. It replaces UFS 2.1 and provides better performance with less battery power. Applications will open and work faster, and UFS 3.0 itself works at higher temperatures – this is important for modern smartphones with powerful processors designed to perform complex tasks.
Prices in China are 3,999 yuan for the 6 GB model, 4,499 yuan for the 8 GB device and 4,999 yuan for the 12 GB option. This means that those who change the Galaxy S10 series to OnePlus 7 Pro will have a difference in price. The smartphones in the Galaxy S10 range start at 5,300 yuan for the Galaxy S10e and reach 12,000 yuan for the Galaxy S10 + with 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory.
Outside China, the smartphone is priced at $ 669 for the version with 6 GB / 128 GB, $ 699 for 8 GB / 256 GB and $ 749 for the top model with 12 GB / 256 GB memory.
